Community Support Workers – full time hours available (Mon – Fri) providing care and support to adults with learning difficulties.

Shift patterns variable between 7.15am and 5.30pm

28 paid days annual/bank holiday leave per year

Principle Responsibilities.

To promote independence and diversity when supporting individuals to access a range of social, educational, and recreational activities both internally and within the local community (Currently restricted due to COVID19) in accordance with the service users’ needs, preferences, and care plan.

To support service users who need assistance with food and drink following the guidelines and protocols as provided from other professionals.

To assist service users with personal care, manual handling, and a range of health- related tasks.

Attend formal and informal training opportunities to enhance performance and understanding of service users’ needs and abilities.

To have responsibility for the safe transportation of service users which requires a willingness to drive a range of differing wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Motivated to working towards creating a safe, open, and trusting environment.


Provider Details:

Design 4 Life provide support services Monday-Friday to adults with learning difficulties who have additional complex physical, developmental and health needs. The service has a fully equipped buildings base in BS16 and works in a COVID19 secure way. Design 4 Life's staff team are dedicated and committed to providing high standards of care and support to maximise individuals opportunities and support participation in a range of activities both at the services' base and where/when possible (COVID restriction) in the local community.

About you:

Candidates should have:
A passion for undertaking a care and support role with a predominately younger adult service user group.

A willingness to undertake training and development opportunities to enable them to meet the needs of those they will be supporting.

Good communication/interpersonal skills.
