St Monica Trust are currently recruiting  for Full time and part time positions available. The role combines catering and housekeeping work, preparing and serving food and drinks for residents and also cleaning our residents’ rooms and communal areas. You’ll be a practical person with the ability to think on your feet and respond quickly – sometimes needing to drop all your well-planned tasks to attend to something at short notice.

Please note

  • Minimum of 3 shifts per work.
  • Working a mixture of early and late shifts including weekends.
  • Shift times are: 07:30 to 14:00 and 11:00 to 19:30 and include 30 minute unpaid break.

Food Hygiene, Catering and Health and Safety skills would be useful however, we give full training. You will have exceptional customer service skills including the ability to interact and build a good rapport with residents and customers. This is a fast-paced environment – so you’ll need to be able to use your initiative, work well in a team and be able to think on your feet.

Most importantly though, you will build relationships with our residents, you’ll get to know their needs and make sure they enjoy a person-centred housekeeping, catering and hospitality service.


To protect your health and safety and the health and safety of our colleagues and the people we support, appointment to this role is conditional upon you having received a complete course of the COVID-19 vaccine unless medically exempt.

About you:

Experience of working with older people and/or people with dementia is desirable but not essential. Full training is provided.
