Support Worker/Personal Assistant required to support a friendly, chatty man in his mid twenties with learning difficulties in Knowle.
5 hours per week on Thursdays (preferred from 10am to 3pm)
4 hours per week on Fridays (preferred from 11:30 am to 3:30pm, but a 3pm finish will be considered)
We welcome applications from people who can work one day or both days.
Main duties will be to enable him to access appropriate social and leisure opportunities in the local community, to enable him build his independence skills, have fun and keep safe.
Knowledge and experience of working with people with learning difficulties is desirable but not essential. More important are your good communication skills, flexible approach, your ability to be patient and calm under pressure, your good sense on humour and that you are reliable and trustworthy.
You must have the right to work in the UK and if successful, you will be required to provide an enhanced DBS check. The expense will be met by the employer. This role will be based from our family home and in the community.
