Bristol City Council
Are you caring, reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic? Are you looking for a job which is rewarding and flexible, in which you help those most in need?
We are looking for kind, caring, and compassionate people, who really want to make a difference; to join our Home First team within Reablement Support, providing a service for people in their own homes.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that support people to leave hospital earlier, after an illness or fall that has affected their confidence and the ability to carry out activities of daily living. We work with people for a short period of time (5 – 10 days) to promote their confidence and maximise their independence.
You will ideally have some experience in a care environment, although this is not essential; and an NVQ/CQF level 2 or equivalent qualification, or be willing to undertake training to complete this whilst in the role. Effective communication skills are key as this role mainly involves face to face work with vulnerable adults, as well as communicating with allied health workers and other professionals. You will also have the ability to respond flexibly to changing needs, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and to work without direct supervision.
In return you will receive a regular working pattern, full ongoing training, and the support to complete QCF Level 2 in Care. A uniform will also be provided. In addition the benefits of working for Bristol City Council include great rates of pay, paid holidays, mileage allowance and pension.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
A current driving licence and provision of a motorised vehicle are essential for this post, therefore business insurance will be required.
Shifts are working 8.00 – 14.00, and 16.30 – 21.00pm, including weekend working and Bank Holidays.
