Part Time – 18.5 hrs per week (Job Share) worked over a 6-week/Permanent

We are looking for a Senior Reablement Support Assistant to join an established team within the Reablement Service. In the team you will be supervising Reablement Support Assistants and managing the care element of the service users time with the service.

As a Senior Reablement Support Assistant in the Reablement team you will be part of the process that supports people to leave hospital earlier after an illness or fall that has affected their confidence and their ability to carry out activities of daily living. We work with people for a period of up to 42 days to promote their confidence and maximise their independence.

You will have experience in providing care to vulnerable adults in the community, and an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent qualification or be willing to undertake training to complete this whilst in the role. Effective communication skills are key, as is the ability to supervise and motivate staff. You will also need to complete assessments and set/review goals with service users in their own homes.

You will respond flexibly to changing needs, be able to work effectively as part of a team and to work without direct supervision.

You will need to be competent/confident in both using and supporting with the use of technology including general computer data entry.

In return you’ll receive a regular working pattern, including weekend and Bank Holiday working, ongoing training, and the support to complete QCF Level 3 in Care. A uniform will also be provided. A current driving licence and provision of a motorised vehicle is essential for this post; therefore, business insurance will be required.
