Silva Care Ltd are currently recruiting for support workers to join our friendly hardworking team. The vacancies in this location are for full time hours, applicants should be available to be fully flexible including every other weekend. Candidates should hold a full UK driving license and be able to assist in transport.

As a support worker you will help to provide person-centred support to our services users across a range of different services offered by the organisation. Our services include, outreach, supported living and short breaks.

Our Support Workers are paid on an hourly basis between £8.91 and £10.50 per hour with competitive evening, weekend, and length of service enhancements.

Job Role;

The Cherries respite house is based in Redland. We offer outreach, short-breaks and supported living to adults with learning disabilities and complex physical needs. We have 5 bedrooms and 1 supported living flat and a small staff team. This house gives you a chance to work 1:1 with regular service users and develop rewarding relationships as you support people to be as independent as possible. We encourage new ideas and offer a supportive environment for our support workers to learn about complex needs and what it takes to deliver a high standard of person-centred care.

The role of the support worker is to support adults with learning disabilities in a vibrant environment with every aspect of their lives to improve their quality of life. This includes support to meet dietary needs, social inclusion, personal care, finances, support to keep their environment clean and safe and support to any medical appointments. Support given will be in a person-centred way and to a high standard to ensure our service users are safe.
