With experience of working with older people and people living with dementia, our Senior Support Workers understand the complex needs of our residents and will enjoy acting as a role model to our teams of Support Workers in everything they do.

As well as attending to personal care, helping residents get dressed, wash and receive their
prescribed medication as instructed by medical professionals, you’ll contribute to their wellbeing by ensuring a homely, safe and positive environment in which to live.

As a senior you’ll be expected to run a shift under the direction of the Deputy/Care Home Manager or Lead
Nurse.

You’ll allocate work and duties and provide day to day supervision promoting best
practice and compliance at all times.

With your experience of working with older people and people living with dementia alongside
a recognised qualification in care (minimum level 2 diploma/NVQ), you’ll understand the
complex needs of our residents and will enjoy acting as a role model to our teams of Support
Workers in everything you do.

37.5 or 30 hours per week. Working a mixture of early and late shifts. Alternate weekends.

Qualifications:

To protect your health and safety and the health and safety of our colleagues and the people we support, appointment to this role is conditional upon you having received a complete course of the COVID-19 vaccine unless medically exempt.

Provider Details:

As a registered charity, our unique blend of welcoming retirement villages, complete with specialist care homes and support for older people, allow us to put what matters to you at the heart of all that we do.

About you:

The role requires a strong team player, supervisory skills and someone who can think quickly
on their feet and trouble shoot problems and issues throughout the day. Diplomacy and
sensitivity are key. You’ll know when to refer issues to your line manager but you’ll also be
able to spot potential problems and trouble-shoot throughout the shift. You’ll be used to
putting others’ first, building relationships of trust and resolving issues with residents’ wellbeing and safety as a priority. You understand the challenges of the role but for you, they are
outweighed by knowing that you’ll enrich the quality of people’s lives.

You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking for, through the role
profile, which is available on our website.

If you are ready for this new challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.
