St Monica Trust

Our Housekeepers tell us that their job is hands-on, practical, busy and there’s never a dull moment. The team have a strong sense of “looking out for each-other” and “pulling together to get things done”. The most rewarding part of their role though, is getting to know our residents, who value the Housekeepers in the way they build relationships of “trust and respect” and are always “willing to help”.

The role includes cleaning residents’ rooms, communal areas such as offices, dining rooms, hallways and receptions and helping with food. You’ll be a practical person with the ability to think on your feet and respond quickly – sometimes needing to drop all your well-planned tasks to attend to something at short notice. Experience of working with older people and/or people with dementia is desirable but not essential. Full training is provided.

  • 27.5 Hours per week working Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm
  • (30 minute unpaid meal break).
Qualifications:

To protect your health and safety and the health and safety of our colleagues and the people we support, appointment to this role is conditional upon you having received a complete course of the COVID-19 vaccine unless medically exempt.
