Website Brandon Trust

Join learning disability charity Brandon Trust as a Bank support worker and discover a genuinely rewarding role where working on a casual basis gives you flexibility. You’ll support people with a learning disability, autism or both at home and in the community to live life in the way they choose. You don’t necessarily need experience as we provide training. Alternatively, you may have experience as a care assistant or care worker.

As a casual waking nights support worker in the Bristol area, you’ll have the choice of a number of hours worked each week on a casual Bank contract. You’ll work nights/evenings, generally it’s a fixed shift from approximately 9.15pm to 7.15am. There will also be occasional daytime working, for example to attend training courses.

About the role

You’ll join our friendly teams, enabling people with a learning disability to increase their independence; there’s lots of variety.

You’ll join the team in supporting people during the evenings and through the night. You’ll respond to people’s needs as they arise and regularly check door monitors. You’ll also manage general cleaning and maintenance of their home, as well as any paperwork required. During the night there is on-call or sleep-in support available, depending on the service you are based in.

We have waking nights Bank shifts available in a number of locations across the Bristol Area. Locations will be Longwell Green, Cadbury Heath and Portishead.

We provide comprehensive training, including the nationally recognised Care Certificate for bank workers who are new to health and social care.
